Job Description

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the apartment community, including supervising staff, implementing company policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, hire, orient, and train new personnel using successful techniques and company directives.
  • Provide support to staff to encourage teamwork and create a harmonious environment.
  • Determine transitions and promotions for on-site personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of all community transactions.
  • Prepare annual budgets and income projections in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Review, code, and approve invoices for payments.
  • Make daily bank deposits.
  • Ensure the property is rented to its fullest capacity.
  • Utilize marketing strategies to secure prospective residents.
  • Oversee the consistency and effectiveness of Assistant Community Manager and Leasing Agent associates' use of policies and procedures.
  • Ensure leasing practices conform to federal, state, and local law.


Requirements

This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of property management experience and the ability to apply logical thinking principles to define problems, collect pertinent data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and initiate appropriate courses of action. Achieving Fair Housing certification is also required before interacting with prospects or residents. Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet search, math, Microsoft Office Suite, and community software applications is essential. Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations is also necessary, as well as the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
