About the JobWe are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at RAYUS Radiology. As a Medical Imaging Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and contributing to the success of our radiology department.
Job DescriptionThis is a PRN (as-needed) position that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will work closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing routine and advanced PET/CT procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.
- Screens patients before procedures for any precautions or contraindications.
- Explaining and preparing patients for PET/CT procedures, ensuring accurate positioning and providing emotional support throughout the process.
- Adjusting scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
- Maintaining positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
Key qualifications include:
- A degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
