Healthcare Receptionist

This role is for a Healthcare Receptionist in Beaverton, Oregon. As a Healthcare Receptionist, you will be responsible for facilitating a timely and orderly process of serving patients from appointment scheduling to completion of office visit information. You will assist other staff functions in support of member needs.

• Effectively communicate with members and other office employees.
• Provide and request information from other departments and external firms.
• Assist other staff members and providers as needed to ensure orderly and efficient patient care.
• Explain to patients how they can get various information.

You will also be responsible for receiving patients during check-in and check-out processes, maintaining current daily schedules, documenting arrivals, cancellations, and reschedules, and instructing new patients to fill out Health Questionnaire and Personal Data Form.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent verbal and written English communication skills, excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to switch tasks frequently. A professional telephone and patient reception manner are also essential.

In addition, you should have six months of healthcare or dental care experience or six months of cash handling and/or customer service experience in a high-volume customer service environment. A High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) is required.

The estimated salary for this role is between $45,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
