We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Associate to consult with clients and provide tax preparation services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of tax regulations, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure clients comply with IRS regulations and meet their state obligations.
- Analyze and minimize tax liabilities by implementing tax reduction strategies.
- Review financial records, income statements, balance sheets, and expenditures.
- Prepare and file tax returns and work papers for clients.
- Research tax issues and assist with tax audits.
- Consult with clients, review their tax information, and respond to questions and concerns.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of each client's tax situation.
- Assist in registering new business processes.
- Clerical tasks including scanning documents, photocopying, email correspondence, and other office duties assigned.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- A degree in Taxation or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation, finance, or accounting in a CPA firm.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines with effective time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with tax/accounting software (QuickBooks and ProConnect).
