About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Adjunct Instructor to join our team at Denmark Technical College. As an Adjunct Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach various courses and contribute to the development of our students.

Job Description

This is a temporary part-time position that requires general supervision from the Director of Workforce Development and program coordinator. The ideal candidate will have excellent professional judgment and discretion, with the ability to apply relevant state, federal, college, and licensure policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of assigned program area(s) and industry, completing administrative tasks to maintain student records, class records, and support program accreditation/recognition.
  • Provide high-quality instructional experiences to prepare students for certification/licensure or personal enrichment as scheduled by college/director/EVP.
  • Other duties as assigned by program coordinator or Director.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have the ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma and five (5) years of experience in the program field. Additional qualifications may be applicable based on the program and/or regulatory requirements.

Work Environment

As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. You will be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors in all common working conditions. Occasional overnight travel in and out of state, regular in-state travel may be required.
