Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Programs Director to join our team at National Louis University. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our institution and driving student success.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in academic program development, accreditation, and assessment, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for leading the creation and implementation of effective quality academic programs, supervising the university's work related to accreditation, assessment, and institutional research, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans for academic programs, ensuring alignment with the university's overall mission and goals.
  • Oversee the review process for student academic appeals and academic complaints, ensuring fair and consistent resolution while upholding institutional policies and standards.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Provost Office and academic departments, providing guidance and support on matters related to curriculum development, program review, and assessment.
  • Collaborate with the enrollment team and community partners to identify existing and emerging market needs for new programs and/or the transformation of existing programs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to bring such opportunities to fruition, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful program launch and execution.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends, issues, technologies, and processes in higher education, staying up-to-date on applicable literature, programs, and services.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree required, Doctoral Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education or related administrative experience relevant to academic programs and accreditation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in effective management and change leadership, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving results.
  • Practical knowledge of accreditation, assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement benefits, paid time off, and educational benefits.
