About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at Apple, working on next-generation hardware user experiences through sophisticated algorithms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze sensor data and design algorithms to preprocess data, extract features, and prototype algorithms to enable expected user interactions.
  • Closely collaborate with partner teams throughout the product life cycle, developing figures of metrics to guarantee algorithm performance at different stages.
  • Design and implement algorithmic mitigations as needed, provide critical support during the production phase, support new form factors, and design and implement new user-facing features.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in signal processing, time series analysis, adaptive filters, machine learning, linear algebra, statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in designing algorithms to process time series sensor data and extract features that can enable user interactions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree in CS (preferred), or other STEM fields such as EE, or Statistics.
  • M.S. in CS with at least 2 years of experience in research and development of embedded algorithms.
  • Rapid prototyping experience with embedded systems.
