UPMC is seeking a Full-Time EMT/AEMT to support the Adams County. This role requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability to support the hours of operation.
Responsibilities- Maintain transport vehicles in efficient operating condition.
- Assist in moving patients and provide emergency medical care at the scene.
- Identify assessment findings and communicate with medical direction for advice and notification.
- Document patient care, incident reports, and other necessary reports.
- Provide assistance to the transporting ambulance and ensure a safe, pleasant work environment.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured.
- Interact and communicate with various groups and individuals utilizing customer service skills.
- Ensure the transport vehicle and equipment is clean and washed and kept in a neat orderly condition.
- Attend continuing education and refresher training programs as required.
- Ensure quality health and medical care for guests and employees at assigned locations.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
- Previous ambulance and/or hospital experience preferred.
- EMT certification, CPR, EMSVO, and Driver's License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
UPMC offers excellent benefits, a pleasant work environment, and a friendly team. The salary range for this position is $17.38-$27.36 based on experience. Optional sign-on bonus of $ with 1-year work agreement.
