Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our Outpatient Ear Nose & Throat team at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient services.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, prioritizing the physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs of patients and families.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other staff members, promoting a collaborative team environment and exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice, quality improvement, and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with providers, other healthcare professionals, and families to promote efficient operation and quality care.
  • Participate in the development and education of staff members, precepting new employees and acting as a mentor to the clinical staff.
  • Support the provider staff and actively promote collaboration for efficient operation and quality care, and legendary customer service for pediatric patients using a team approach.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association required.
  • A valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required, with a Multistate License (MSL) required within 90 days of hire date for departments that provide telenursing services or care to patients outside Ohio.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred, with 5 years of experience supervising not required.
