Job Overview: As a Medical Support Specialist at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, you will play a critical role in supporting plasma center operations. This position requires a high degree of customer service and quality commitment. You will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.

Estimated Salary Range: $18-$22 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

About the Role: The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues. You will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
  • Support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
  • Evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs.
