About the Opportunity

The Creative Financial Staffing team is seeking an accomplished Controller to lead their Accounting team. This role is perfect for a seasoned financial professional looking to drive business growth and success in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain effective systems of financial controls and reporting to ensure timely and accurate financial statements for management.
  • Guide financial decision-making by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor and confirm finances through coordinated audits and provide information to external auditors.
  • Prepare strategic reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial position for stakeholders.
  • Achieve budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
  • Conduct special analyses and prepare reports on company performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying informed of new legislation and regulatory changes.
  • Lead and develop accounting staff through recruitment, training, and coaching.
  • Maintain technical knowledge through continuous learning, networking, and participation in professional societies.
  • Protect company operations by maintaining confidentiality of financial information and plans.
  • Interface with senior leadership, including VP-Finance, CFO, CEO, and the audit committee.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA certification required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing finance, preferably as a Controller.
  • Advanced Excel skills essential.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for growth and development.
