We're looking for a skilled Aerodynamics Engineer to join our team, responsible for developing and optimizing our products to achieve exceptional aerodynamic performance.
- Develop CFD models for various products to improve aerodynamic performance
- Plan and lead wind tunnel tests to validate CFD results
- Collaborate with professional racing teams to improve aerodynamic performance
- Conduct fluid mechanics research to improve understanding of aerodynamic phenomena
- Develop engineering design recommendations based on CFD and wind tunnel results
Responsibilities
Develop CFD models for various products to improve aerodynamic performance, including aerodynamic, stability, and thermal models. Plan and lead wind tunnel tests to validate CFD results, and collaborate with professional racing teams to improve aerodynamic performance. Conduct fluid mechanics research to improve understanding of aerodynamic phenomena and develop engineering design recommendations based on CFD and wind tunnel results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- 5-10 years of industry experience or an advanced degree and 3-7 years of applicable industry experience
- Experience with CFD codes, wind tunnel testing, and aerodynamic design
- Proactive, independent worker with minimal oversight
- Able to communicate and present technical ideas to a non-technical audience
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
- Background in Linux and HPC computing
- Experience with STAR-CCM and multi-disciplinary optimization
- Experience with vehicle simulation and dynamics
- Experience with external unsteady flows and thermal analysis
