About the Role

Anchor Construction Corporation is seeking a skilled Pipe Installation Specialist to join their team. This individual will be responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.

As a key member of the construction team, the successful candidate will ensure that ground is properly prepared and trenches are dug out for pipes. They will align pipes and seal joints together with cement or glue, while following strict safety protocols to prevent accidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recognize and identify various types of pipes and fittings
  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to connect different types of pipes safely and efficiently
  • Operate hand tools associated with pipe installation, such as cutters and tappers
  • Understand and apply knowledge of glues and lubricants used in pipe installation
  • Cut pipes to specified lengths and angles using precision equipment
  • Read and comprehend blueprints to locate pipe positions and elevations accurately
  • Set up and operate tapping machines to tap into existing pipes
  • Establish straight pipelines and verify elevations using transit levels
  • Maintain a working knowledge of pipe repair and replacement techniques
  • Report any problems or safety hazards to the foreman or crew lead immediately
Work Environment

This role involves heavy physical labor, requiring the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions, including noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.

Salary and Benefits
