Healthcare Accounting Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Accounting and Finance professional to join our team at Eide Bailly. As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with clients in various healthcare settings to provide consulting, reimbursement, audit, and accounting services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite and offsite consulting services related to healthcare financial, operational, and industry issues.
- Research new and existing regulations and laws related to healthcare.
- Attend various healthcare association meetings and conferences as a presenter and marketer as needed.
- Provide internal educational sessions to staff to increase awareness of healthcare issues and service offerings.
- Request and collect appropriate information to diagnose and solve client problems.
- Coordinate various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
- Understand and apply work procedures and effectively tailor plans as necessary.
- Maintain awareness of general business trends and issues, and apply that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
- Participate in the area of business development.
- Participate in community organizations and industry functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
- Maintain compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Administration preferred.
- 3-5 years of healthcare industry – financial, operational, budgeting, coding, or reimbursement experience.
- Well-rounded knowledge of terminology, policies, and practices, and financial programs of healthcare systems.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.
- Location: Hybrid in one of our Eide Bailly offices preferred, but open to telecommute.
- Authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
Benefits and Compensation
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
