About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Care Options for Kids, a leading provider of specialized clinical care for children. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

As a Pediatric Nurse Care Specialist, you will provide one-to-one nursing care in a home environment, working with self-sufficient autonomy and empowerment. You will be part of a collaborative team, overseen by a registered nurse, and will follow the plan of care developed for each client. Your expertise and clinical knowledge will be valued and respected as you establish deep bonds with the families you care for.

A Day in the Life

You will start your day by communicating with your care team, including the family and any previous caregivers. You will then begin your routine tasks, which may include preparing medications, performing trach and g-tube care, and documenting your progress. Each day will bring new challenges and opportunities, and you will be empowered to make decisions and take action based on your professional judgment.

In addition to providing direct patient care, you will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting any changes or concerns to the clinical team. You will work closely with our respiratory therapists to provide training and mentorship, ensuring that you have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

  • You must hold a valid Pennsylvania LPN License or Multistate License.
  • PPD or Chest X-Ray is required.
  • You must possess a valid BLS CPR card, obtained in person, not online.
  • A valid driver's license is also required.
  • G-tube, trach, vent experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
