About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Novant Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
- Ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.
- Combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist).
- Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.
- Current Surgical Tech Certification, preferred.
