Medical Equipment Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Equipment Coordinator to join our team at Children's National Hospital. As a key member of our surgical scheduling department, you will be responsible for coordinating the logistics of surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and resources are in place.
Your primary focus will be on scheduling and coordinating surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless execution. You will also be responsible for verifying patient insurance information, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and resources are in place
- Verify patient insurance information and coordinate with vendors
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless execution
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in patient registration, medical insurance verification, or a related field
- Proficient in Cerner and/or similar EMR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
