We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at DispatchHealth Management. As a key member of our mobile imaging team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
Job SummaryThe Diagnostic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for performing mobile diagnostic imaging procedures, including portable x-rays and EKG exams, in various patient settings. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform mobile diagnostic imaging procedures, including portable x-rays and EKG exams, in accordance with company protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collect and verify all required order documentation and patient information prior to procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
- Operate portable radiologic equipment at patients' bedside or other designated exam settings.
- Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, body part, and degree of penetration required.
- Process images and review them for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
- Transmit images and associated documentation in a timely manner according to company protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including visit logs and reports.
- Assist with training and orientation of new employees as needed.
- Meet state-specific and federal requirements to perform portable x-rays, including registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
- Ability to move or lift equipment up to 50 pounds and walk up and down stairs easily while carrying equipment.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
