Pest Control Technician Job Description

Job Summary: As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for applying company products to clients' landscaping according to schedule and as needed. You will identify sources of client pest issues, practice source reduction tactics, and safely drive company vehicles to clients' homes or places of business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply pesticides to landscaping according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions.
  • Identify sources of client pest issues and practice tactics in source reduction.
  • Safely drive company vehicles to clients' homes or places of business.
  • Call clients to confirm scheduled services.
  • Respond to clients' requests for telephone and in-person service calls in a timely manner.
  • Complete required production forms.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in clean and proper operating condition.
  • May assist in sales to current clients.
  • Expertly answer frequently asked client questions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must have a positive service attitude.

  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, or local regulations.
