About the Role

At Lifespan Corporation, we are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Care Specialist. This is a per diem position, offering the flexibility to work on a part-time basis.

Job Summary

This role will involve implementing, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of each patient using a comprehensive nursing process. As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will plan with consideration of the aging process throughout the life span, including all developmental stages as well as cultural patterns. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care, ensuring a high level of comfort, dignity, and satisfaction for patients and their families.
  • Leading by delegating, supervising, and participating in safe nursing care activities provided by ancillary personnel.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of patient care and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team, patient family, and community services regarding patient care outcomes and discharge planning.
  • Assessing and providing appropriate teaching based on patient and family needs.
  • Participating in unit-based quality improvement and research activities.
