Job Overview

The FX Data and Analytics team plays a critical role in supporting the Foreign Exchange Trading Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and evolving a state-of-the-art data environment using KDB+ and Python programming languages.

Responsibilities

This position involves:

  • Supporting and maintaining the existing ticker plant, real-time database, historical database, and gateways for the FX Business
  • Extending the existing KDB data plant for FX business analytics & business intelligence needs
  • Working with stakeholders from trading, etrading, relationship management, product and risk on new data science initiatives
  • Continuing development of tools for backtesting and simulating model performance
  • Assessing and executing internal and external requests for FX data; determining optimal software tools and methods for automation
  • Attending client and vendor meetings; assisting in formulating solutions to meet BBH and our client needs
  • Ensuring FX data integrity; helping improve the dynamic mix of referential FX data across our enterprise
  • Staying alert to current FX industry initiatives and data technology trends that impact BBH

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 4 year STEM college degree from an accredited institution
  • 2+ years of KDB+ development experience
  • Understanding of KDB+ architecture including ticker plant, real-time database, historical database, and gateways
  • Solid Math and Statistics
  • Knowledge of one or more: Python, SQL, Advanced Excel, BI tools such as Qlik, Spotfire & KX Dashboards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • First class organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Genuine interest in the global financial markets
