Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Surgical Pathologist to join our team at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert diagnostic services in surgical pathology, with a focus on Gastrointestinal (GI), Head and Neck (ENT), Thoracic, Bone and Soft Tissue (BST), and/or Cytology.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of educational programs for medical students and residents.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and collaborations within the department and university.
  • Engage in clinical and translational research, with opportunities for collaboration with other departments and institutions.
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or other MD-equivalent degree.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
  • Eligibility to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sign-out experience and/or fellowship training in GI/Liver.
