Medical Care Coordinator

At Think Whole Person Healthcare, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care. As a Clinical Staff member, you'll play a vital role in coordinating and implementing care plans for patients under the direct supervision of a healthcare provider. Your expertise will ensure seamless communication and collaboration with our healthcare team to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with healthcare providers to prepare patients for examination or treatment
Gather and document patient information, including reason for visit and related medical history
Perform vital signs, height, weight, and screening procedures, and document findings in the electronic health record (EHR)
Ensure accurate documentation and maintain timely patient flow
Collect and assist providers in collecting specimens, as required, using appropriate protocols
Adhere to infection control standards, including hand hygiene, use of PPE, and equipment disinfection
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to achieve certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, etc.)
Active medication aid and American Heart Associate BLS/CPR certification required
One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant, utilizing electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred
Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
This role operates in a healthcare setting, requiring frequent standing, walking, and computer work
Ability to lift and maneuver up to 35 pounds occasionally
Requires ability to bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level occasionally and twist occasionally
Requires repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, fine manipulation, and computer use
Requires all sensory skills (speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing) corrected to near normal range
