CyraCom is seeking a skilled Miskito Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation services to our clients. As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating interpretation sessions in a professional and focused manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and complete interpretation services in Miskito and English.
  • Follow CyraCom's policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
  • Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge in various fields, such as medical, legal, and social services.
  • Work independently and exercise initiative within the parameters of CyraCom's client standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience in interpretation, preferably in medical, court, or government settings.
  • Professional interpreter certification or training.
  • Fluency in Miskito and English, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.

Pay Rate: $0.40/min, varying based on experience, dialects, and interpreter certifications.

Important Note: As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of CyraCom, but rather a vendor providing language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis.
