The Production Manager is accountable for ensuring the safety of our team and the efficient production of our products, adhering to the highest standards of food quality. This role requires the ability to abide by PURIS' SOPs, SSOPs, and Quality Standards at all times. Additionally, the Production Manager must embody the PURIS Core Values: Integrity, Leadership, Openness, Global Vision, Adaptability, and Partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant operations to ensure efficient production output in a safe environment, reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
  • Utilize Lean Principles to optimize resource utilization in manufacturing.
  • Lead a team of over 30 members, including front-line managers and technicians.
  • Develop annual, monthly, and weekly production plans to align with business needs.
  • Provide safety leadership on the production floor, training and setting an example for others.
  • Participate in the development of improvement plans for process efficiency and new product growth.
  • Manage the coordination of weekly activities with the maintenance team and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Develop and manage a staffing plan to support 24/7 operations.
  • Oversee the management of standard work documentation and training systems.
  • Lead and manage process CIP events.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team on planned project work and provide input on strategic plant management activities.
  • Be available to work occasional off-shifts and weekends due to 24-hour operations.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or technical degree with demonstrable technical and analytical capability.
  • 5+ years of process plant experience in a production environment, preferably in a management or senior-level role.
  • Experience with operations safety leadership is required.
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement projects and methodology.
  • Practical experience with food or similar plant operations, food safety requirements, and wet and dry process CIP is a plus.
  • Prefer experience with 24/7 operations.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, including A3, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Competent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak to a group of people.
  • Good judgment, business acumen, decision-making skills, intellectual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
