At Winner Regional Health, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursing Assistant to join our Long Term Care team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care to our residents.
About the RoleThis role will involve assisting in the provision of nursing care to our residents, as directed by the Charge Nurse/LPN charge nurse. You will be responsible for providing comfort and safety measures, personal hygiene, assisting with activities of daily living, and simple nursing procedures. When students are providing resident care, treatment, and or services as part of their training, you may be asked to work and supervise them.
You will also be required to assist Charge nurses and Physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments. In addition, you will be responsible for developing and implementing resident plans of care, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and elimination. You will observe residents for reactions to treatments or any unusual conditions and record or report adverse conditions to the Charge nurse.

Key Responsibilities- Assist in the provision of nursing care to residents, as directed by the Charge Nurse/LPN charge nurse.
- Provide comfort and safety measures, personal hygiene, assisting with activities of daily living, and simple nursing procedures.
- Assist Charge nurses and Physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments.
- Develop and implement resident plans of care, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and elimination.
- Observe residents for reactions to treatments or any unusual conditions and record or report adverse conditions to the Charge nurse.
- Certification from a state-approved program for nursing assistant or completion of an in-house certification program within four months of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent desired.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Able to deal with people in a professional manner.
The estimated salary for this role is $18.00 per hour, based on national averages and industry standards.
