Job Summary:

Adams Outdoor Advertising is seeking a driven and self-motivated Account Executive to support its sales team in the Kalamazoo market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The Account Executive will be responsible for selling dynamic outdoor advertising campaigns to current and prospective clients, leveraging AOA's leading market share in the greater Kalamazoo area. The role will involve collaborating with colleagues and clients to understand their marketing needs and develop effective solutions.

The Adams Onboarding Program will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive understanding of out-of-home advertising and its power to drive effective return on investment for clients. The program includes:
  • Introduction to AOA's best practices
  • Participation in AOA's firmwide 'Lunch and Learn' program, highlighting innovative sales techniques and driving talent development
  • Assignment of a senior mentor to guide initial experience and support long-term success
  • Significant exposure to leadership in the Kalamazoo market, including the General Manager
Initial compensation will consist of a fixed salary, with opportunities to transition to a salary plus commission structure as the candidate demonstrates success. With proven performance, there are opportunities to assume increasing levels of responsibility, lead a team, and potentially transfer to other AOA markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Approach existing and new advertiser clients to understand their marketing needs
  • Structure advertising packages and products across AOA's portfolio to meet client needs
  • Handle internal responsibilities, including contracting, scheduling, and collections tracking
  • Communicate with internal leadership regarding sales projections and tracking
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive working environment and identify opportunities for growth
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent experience
  • One to three years of direct media or relevant sales experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with computer software and technology
  • Good working knowledge of marketing research
  • Ability to travel, if required
  • Valid driver's license
AOA operates in multiple markets, including Ann Arbor/Lansing, Beaufort/Charleston/Florence, Charlotte, Eastern Pennsylvania, Madison, Norfolk, and Champaign/Peoria.
