Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Aramark. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
Key Responsibilities- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
- Validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- Must be able to acquire food safety certification
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
