Job Description:

This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide professional nursing care to clinic patients. The successful candidate will work under supervision, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Assist with check-in, examinations, and procedures as required.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate clarification of medication orders and refills to pharmacies as directed by providers.
  • Triage patient telephone calls, evaluating physical and psychosocial health status to provide timely interventions.
  • Coordinate patient services, including lab tests, point-of-care testing, x-rays, diagnostic procedures, consults, home care, and acute care admissions.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, lab tests, x-rays, and procedures, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans and next steps.
  • Document medical information using electronic applications and/or forms, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Audit patient rooms and surrounding areas for safety issues, removing hazards and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicate patient safety and care issues to appropriate parties via established channels.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, examination, and treatment rooms, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education and Qualifications:
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN).
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
