About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at TriStar Summit Medical Center. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a meaningful impact on patient care.
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during designated shifts. As a key member of the management team, you will direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures. You will also serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services provided in the unit, collaborating with other members of the management team.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, recommending and implementing courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling, managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or BCLS Instructor/CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
