Job Overview

Job Summary:

Responsibilities

Clinical Practice:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and cultural background.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.

Patient Education:

  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and their families, promoting self-management and empowerment.
  • Use evidence-based information to educate patients about their condition, treatment options, and prevention strategies.
  • Document patient education and outcomes in the medical record.

Communication:

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, using clear and concise language.
  • Listen actively and respond empathetically to patient concerns and feedback.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Leadership:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote safe and effective practice.
  • Support and mentor new staff members, promoting professional development and growth.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.

Experience:

  • At least one year of experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Current RN licensure in the state of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day.
