Parks Naturalist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Parks Naturalist to join our team at DeKalb County. As a key member of our parks department, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing educational and recreational programs and activities for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement educational programs and activities that promote conservation, protection, and responsible use of the park, trail, and natural area.
• Provide customer service to the public and security for the park, trail, and natural area.
• Assist with the development and implementation of a management plan for the park, trail, and natural area.
• Develop and distribute educational and public relations materials.
• Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of park facilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Environmental Education, Resource Management, Forestry, or other related field.
• Two years of experience working in parks, resource management, or a related field.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
