Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography to join our team at Integrated Resources. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients and general diagnostic radiology examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
  • Review clinical data on requisitions and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining additional information about patient medical history as necessary.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and replenish stock, including linen and related supplies.
  • Analyze anatomical structures of patients, set up equipment, and perform CT scans.
  • Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information from the area of the body being studied.
  • Administer intravenous contrast media, including the use of power injectors, and monitor patients for possible reactions.
  • Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for procedures, ensuring adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored.
  • Assist radiologists in performing complex sterile diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies.
  • Perform all imaging procedures, demonstrating principles of radiation protection, including shielding patients, selecting appropriate equipment settings to reduce dose, and using other ALARA techniques.
  • Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into PACS, including viewing images into PACS and confirming image/series counts.
  • Complete study indexing, including study begin, study end, and completion of studies in the Radiology Information System.
  • Review and confirm clinical protocols with radiologists before performing studies.
  • Demonstrate team member standards of excellence, including AIDET, open communication, responding in a timely manner, displaying a positive attitude, fostering innovation, and respecting diversity.
  • Perform all documentation in medical records and radiology information systems to support clinical and billing functions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Maintain required hours of continued medical education.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

  • May work in a hospital with a fixed unit or in an ambulatory Mobile Unit at one of the Medical Centers.
  • May be potentially exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not utilized. May be exposed to high-voltage equipment.
  • May be exposed to potentially contagious patients.
  • Occasionally may lift and/or move equipment and/or patients that would be in excess of 10 lbs.
