Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at Leggett & Platt Incorporated. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing plant machinery, equipment, and physical structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairing industrial equipment
  • Replacing glands and seals in pumping equipment
  • Analyzing equipment and machinery malfunctions, determining the appropriate procedure and performing repairs
  • Installing and maintaining machinery
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
  • Performing preventative maintenance functions
  • Performing plant start up and shut down procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in industrial maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with 480/ three phase required
  • Experience with electrical systems preferred
