Description

The Stamford Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Lead Gymnastics Coach to join our team. As a key member of the school's athletic department, you will be responsible for leading the gymnastics team to success while promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for coaching and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in coaching gymnastics, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is $5,376-$6,863 per year, based on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

The Lead Gymnastics Coach will be responsible for:

  • Coaching the gymnastics team to promote student-athlete development and success
  • Developing and implementing training programs to enhance team performance
  • Maintaining accurate records of team progress and achievements
  • Communicating with parents, students, and colleagues to ensure effective collaboration and teamwork
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or related field
  • State coaching certification and Red Cross first aid certification
  • Proven experience in coaching gymnastics, preferably at the high school level
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
