Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician, CNA to join our team at Johns Hopkins Health System. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the functional direction of a registered nurse.

About the Role

This position involves performing routine and specialized tasks in providing direct patient care. Key responsibilities include assisting patients with changing/dressing, transporting patients by stretcher, bed, or wheelchair, identifying abnormal findings that could adversely affect surgical and patient outcomes, and reporting all abnormal findings to the appropriate nursing staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including changing and dressing.
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently using stretchers, beds, or wheelchairs.
  • Identify and report any abnormal vital signs, lab results, EKG readings, or other critical information that may impact patient care.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support to ensure a positive experience for our patients and families.


Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have a current Maryland CNA certification, CPR certification from AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network, and six months of previous experience as a PCT, patient aide, or geriatric nursing assistant, or currently enrolled in a nursing program with basic technician training in nursing.

Salary Range:
The estimated salary for this role is $18-$26 per hour, commensurate with experience and location.
