Senior Layout Design Engineer

Job Summary:
Micron Technology is seeking a highly skilled Senior Layout Design Engineer to join our Global Factory Automation team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for developing full factory tool layout models that will serve as the basis of design for industry-leading manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate layout models for Micron's U.S. manufacturing sites that meet or exceed established critical metric targets.
- Establish layout requirements during Micron's quarterly business plan reviews.
- Collect and analyze layout data for Micron's manufacturing sites to identify opportunities for improvement, recommend design changes, and implement new processes that enhance overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Maintain a layout data repository (SharePoint) that can be used for historical validation and information sharing across multiple departments.
- Collaborate with the Technology Development team to influence the design of future process equipment that enables improved space efficiency.
- Actively engage and contribute to Micron's environmental sustainability projects.
- Present layout designs and recommendations to Micron's Senior Leaders and Executive team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience (MS Degree preferred).
- Five years' specific and confirmed experience.
- Expert proficiency using AutoCad, BIM, Revit, Factory Design Utility, and other similar layout software applications.
- Direct experience with process equipment and facilities design.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
