Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Department Sales Associate to join our team at Food Lion. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and maximizing sales within the Center Store department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness and promote a culture of excellent customer service.
  • Courteous and helpful to other associates, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Stock merchandise efficiently, maintain shelf allocations, and ensure that only saleable products are displayed on shelves.
  • Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
  • Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO to maximize inventory management and reduce shrinkage.
  • Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies, and standard practices.
  • Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents, adhering to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Food Lion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) plan, and paid time off.
