Salary and Benefits



This Event Operations Manager - Food and Beverage role will offer an hourly rate between $18 to $22. Plus Tips. Additionally, benefits include a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching for part-time employees.

Job Description


The Concessions Supervisor, now known as the Event Operations Manager - Food and Beverage, is responsible for overseeing the food & beverage serving of guests at various concessions stands, bars, and portable food & beverage locations during events. This individual must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. They will assist the Concessions Manager and the rest of the OVG leadership team with projects including training, inventory, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors, including verifying opening inventory, assigning duties to concession workers, ensuring sanitation standards are met, and verifying that each location is fully operational.

* Provide high-level oversight and operational expertise resulting in the smooth, efficient, and profitable execution of events.

* Train new and current employees regarding property procedures and best practices.

* Willingly cover or back up any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met; assist with Premium Services operations and event needs, as directed.

* Maintain a safe and inclusive work environment, addressing all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents, or incidents, and relaying them to management immediately.

* Supervise the service of beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, and verify minimum age requirements.

* Assist in recording guests' orders and relaying them to the kitchen via POS system.

* Observe guests to respond to additional requests and determine when meals have been completed.

* Compute the cost of meals and present guests with checks, accepting payments and providing change as necessary.

* Recommend dishes and explain menu items to guests.

* Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

* Demonstrate excellent attendance and meet the company standard.

* Recognize visibly intoxicated guests and take action to cut off alcohol.

* Enforce all company policies and procedures.

* Practice excellent Human Resources skills, including employee relations, corrective action, coaching, and counseling employees, and complete necessary HR paperwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications



To be successful in this role, you should have at least 1-2 years of experience working in a supervisory capacity in a food and beverage environment. You should also be able to supervise the work of others, communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests, and possess valid food handling certification or alcohol service permits if required by state or federal regulations.
