We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Certified Peer Support Specialist at Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio.

Job Summary

The Certified Peer Support Specialist will provide support and guidance to individuals living on the street in Fairfield County as part of a Street Outreach Team. This role requires a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness and the ability to provide empathetic and non-judgmental support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a supportive living facility, including orienting new residents to the program and enforcing rules.
  • Engage with residents, helping them through challenges and providing support and guidance.
  • Conduct weekly house meetings with residents and provide daily reports to the case manager.
  • Document any unusual incidents occurring.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist.
  • Prior experience working with the homeless and/or AOD/Mental Health population (preferred).
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and access to reliable insured transportation.
