Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse with 22nd Century Technologies, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients, and you will work closely with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in various settings, including student health services and correctional facilities.
- Assess and record patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and make nursing rounds as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and ordered treatment plans, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
- Participate in staff development and education, and train and orient new employees.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless care delivery and make decisions regarding patient care.
- Perform specialized procedures, such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, and wound care, as needed.
- Organize and oversee 'code blue' teams, and direct healthcare staff assigned to the area.
- Assist physicians in giving diagnostic health evaluations to patients, and perform clerical tasks, such as charting and documenting patient information.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, as issued by the Board of Nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
