Transforming Patient Care in Cardiology

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Physician Assistant to join our team at Carilion Clinic. This role will involve working in both Inpatient (IP) and Outpatient (OP) settings.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge and skills, enabling them to function as a primary healthcare provider. Key responsibilities include assisting Electrophysiologists with hospital admissions, consults, discharges, pre/post procedure evaluations, implanting Loop Recorders, and seeing patients in the office/clinic.

The selected candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to provide high-quality patient care. A strong understanding of medical procedures, including those related to device clinics, is essential for success in this role.

This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to maintain open and supportive communications between department members and other employees, patients, and their family members.

We offer a competitive salary of $115,000 - $135,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required.
  • Clinical experience appropriate to specific practice/departments preferred.
  • Current Physician Assistant license (PA) required.
  • DEA licensure required.
  • AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
