Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Center of Excellence team at Lutheran Hospital. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including those undergoing bariatric, neurology, spinal, and orthopedic surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic and spine surgery, including administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient condition, and documenting patient progress.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, evaluating and updating plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare team members, including physicians, therapists, and social workers.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
  • Provide teaching and educational material to patients and families, validating and documenting patient understanding of teaching.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum one year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting required for acute care settings.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
