Job Summary

As a Substation Technician at Cianbro, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical infrastructure, including substation structures and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical construction blueprints and the ability to interpret technical drawings. You will work with a team to ensure the safe and efficient installation of high-voltage equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers. Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret electrical construction blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Install substation structures and equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
  • Recognize and control hazards involved in working in a substation environment.
  • Work with a team to ensure the safe and efficient installation of high-voltage equipment.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience working on substations.
  • Preferred OSHA certification.
  • Knowledge of technical practices in order to plan, layout, and complete maintenance or repair needed for high-voltage equipment.
  • Skilled in using and maintaining electrical tools and test equipment.
