Dental Hygienist Job Responsibilities:

We're seeking skilled professionals to promote oral health by completing dental prophylaxis, performing oral cancer screening, and conducting radiographic studies. You'll also be responsible for charting conditions of decay and disease, as well as preparing patients for dental hygiene treatment.

Your duties will include:

  • Promoting dental health through various treatments and procedures
  • Preparing patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them
  • Providing information to patients and colleagues through answering questions and requests
  • Maintaining instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments
  • Selecting materials and equipment for dental visits based on patient oral health
  • Completing dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gum margins
  • Detecting disease through oral cancer screening, visual examination, and radiographic studies
  • Arresting dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents
Dental Hygienist Job Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • An active dental hygiene license in WI
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practices
