Responsibilities- Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders, and provide accurate diagnoses to inform treatment plans.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address each student's unique needs, utilizing evidence-based practices and staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
- Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about speech disorders, their causes, and effective management techniques, promoting empowerment and self-advocacy.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless support and progress monitoring, participating in IEP meetings to provide recommendations for student success.
- Record Keeping and Data Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress, using this data to inform future treatment decisions and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Qualifications: A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution, with full accreditation (CCC) preferred, and completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
- Experience: Previous experience in a speech-language pathology setting, preferably in a school environment, with a strong track record of delivering results-oriented services.
