Job Description

This position requires a seasoned Financial Manager with 15+ years of experience in DoD accounting and financial management functions, tools, processes, governing regulations, and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of current DoD and AF-specific acquisition regulations, guidelines, and processes.

Responsibilities include contract/financial transaction reconciliation and closeout duties, as well as providing financial management/comptroller support for the Government in major areas such as cost research, cost estimating, EVM implementation and analysis, schedule networking, program control integration and analysis, and financial analysis.

The successful candidate will be able to easily navigate, interpret, analyze, and manipulate data in multiple accounting systems and databases, including Comprehensive Cost and Requirements System (CCaRS), MOCAS, CRIS, EDA, WAWF, Automated Business Services System (ABSS), Defense Integrated Financial System (DIFS), DSAMS, and CMCS.

This role also requires assisting Government financial managers with the verification of data input accuracy into various financial/payment systems and reconciling DFAS data to the CCaRs database.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and update an Unliquidated Obligation (ULO) and Negative Unliquidated Obligation (NULO) burn down plan, collect data, resolve issues, and complete tasks for the tri-annual certification.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in DoD accounting and financial management functions, tools, processes, governing regulations, and systems.
  • Strong understanding of current DoD and AF-specific acquisition regulations, guidelines, and processes.
  • Experience with contract/financial transaction reconciliation and closeout duties.
  • Ability to easily navigate, interpret, analyze, and manipulate data in multiple accounting systems and databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
