Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Description:

This role supports the goals and objectives of our Community Integrated Living Arrangement (CILA) by providing direct service support and administrative coordination to residents. The successful candidate will ensure timely execution of client appointments, review reports to maintain adequate supply levels, and coordinate scheduling activities.

Responsibilities:

The Community Living Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in coordinating activities such as client appointments, vehicle reports, facility supplies, daily reports, and on-the-job-training for new hires.
  • Maintaining and consistently coordinating agency documentation standards for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitoring daily menus, ensuring purchasing and inventory of food and necessary supplies are maintained at adequate levels.
  • Preparing reports to the Program Director, including accident documentation and vehicle usage.
  • Performing on-the-job-orientation for new hires and completing assigned documents and forms.
  • Handling weekly Paycard requests, household allowances, and receipts.
  • Working closely with the Program Director to ensure work schedules are prepared and adequate employee coverage is maintained.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred and several years of experience working with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities.
  • Proof of Direct Service Professional (DSP) training and passing the TABE test.
  • A valid Illinois driver's license and ability to pass agency background checks required by state regulatory mandates.
  • Some proficiency in using Microsoft Office or similar applications.
