Licensed Vocational Nurse

LaSalle corrections is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide healthcare support services to our patients. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting physicians in providing emergency health services, conducting medical examinations, and maintaining accurate health records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist physicians in providing emergency health services, including suicide prevention and life-threatening medical emergencies.
• Conduct initial and ongoing medical examinations and assessments, documenting results of assessments.
• Maintain accurate health records, including patient histories, vital signs, and treatment provided.
• Assist in call screening and physical examinations under the supervision of physicians and based upon the physician's orders and protocols.
• Participate in continuing education and in-service training to maintain paraprofessional capability and proficiency.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
• Experience in providing health support services in a hospital, clinic, or infirmaries is highly desirable.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Must have two (2) years of Licensed Vocational Nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Pay:
$26.00 per hour, with shift differentials of $4 per hour for 6a-6p and $8 per hour for 6p-6a.
