**Job Summary**

The City of Des Moines Washington seeks a skilled and experienced Human Resources Strategic Partner to join our team. As a key member of the HR department, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures that support the organization's goals and objectives.

Salary Range: $88,033 - $107,017 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This position requires a strong understanding of HR principles and practices, with expertise in recruitment, benefits administration, classification and compensation, leave management, and record management. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR programs, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's strategic plan.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to employees, managers, and other stakeholders on HR-related matters.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations on HR initiatives and projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on HR-related issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to employees on HR topics and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, preferably in a public sector environment.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
